Stonewall Democrats (aka CTSD)
It all started with a group of friends who developed a common passion and subsequently got together with increasing frequency to enjoy this shared interest. It wasn’t long before CTSD was “officially” born.
Founded in 2019 and based in Cleburne Texas CTSD is a devoted community made up of enthusiastic individuals who enjoy sharing ideas and activities. CTSD is a General Purpose Action Committee. GOVERNING STRUCTURE
The Chisholm Trail Stonewall Democrats operate under a Bylaws structure. Our Bylaws express in written form the structure and processes that we follow as an organization which is derived primarily from Roberts Rules of Order.
Chisholm Trail Stonewall Democrats has an executive body consisting of four elected officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. These elected officers are charged with the day-to-day governance of the organization with support from standing and ad-hoc committees. The Officers are elected by direct vote of the General Membership yearly or in the event of a vacancy between elections, appointed by the President, and then ratified by a majority vote of the Executive Board. The term of office is for 1 calendar year, however, any officer may be re-elected for multiple terms. The President is empowered with the day-to-day running of the organization and nominates each Ad-Hoc member of the Executive Board, and nominates the Chairs of all Standing and Ad-Hoc Committees. The President also serves as the Chief Communicator of the organization.
All members who are in good standing (dues current) at least 30 days prior to an Endorsement Committee meeting or Officer election are eligible to vote on all matters that are brought before the Membership at large. You can contact any officer directly via e-mail by clicking on the hyperlink below.
